Regina Adahada is a Nigerian who has been living in Norway for over 40 years. She studied at the University of Oslo and obtainedher first degree (B.A) with the combination of social Anthropology and family sociology.
Being interested in children, women and family affairs, she went for two further studies to specialize on family network interventions and on child welfare in a minority perspective. She has also gotten diploma in parent management training Oregan (PMTO) and another diploma in international child development program (ICDP)
Regina Adahada and five other African women founded the Pan African Women Association (PAWA) in 2003 . In 2009 she became the President of the Pan African Women Association and has being the leader until late 2018.
Pan African Women Association (PAWA) works mostly with information dissemination in regards to the eradication of female genital mutilation in Norway as well as in Kenya in Africa
During her leadership the Pan African Women Association was able to obtain special status with the United Nation.

In accordance with these words, has Regina Adahada established the women awake development center ( WADEC) in Nigeria where vulnerable women and young girls would be able to make use of their potentials and skills for the betterment of their livelihood in the society.
Regina has the passion for fighting against the plight of women and young girls. And considering the sustainable development goals 3, 4 and 5 ,she would strongly work on this areas in order to see that the women and young girls achieve these goals
About WADEC
WADEC is non- profit non-governmental (NGO) whose mission is to actualize the dreams of the under privileged women and young girls by assisting them to achieve basic skills and education that will help to improve their livelihood in the society.
I would be working more on three critical areas of sustainable development goals.
Goal 3: To ensure healthy lives and promote women and young girls well- being
Goal 4: To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for women and young girls
Goal 5 : Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and young girls.
The Objectives
To establish a center where women and young girls can make use of their knowledge and skills
To lobby and advocate for the empowerment of women and young girls
To promote human rights awareness among women and young girls in the society.
To highlight the importance of mental and physical well being of women and young girls
To assist women and young girls in accessing available resources and support systems.
To build the capacity of women and young girls by expanding their skills, boost their economic and entrepreneurial capacity.
To promote social justice and equality for women and young girls in the society.
